IT Support Analyst
As part of the IT Service Delivery Team you will be part of a dynamic department providing proactive and reactive support on business critical services. The role offers a wide range of responsibilities all key to the delivery of a first class Information Technology service.
Accountabilities
To provide technical support for a broad range of issues logged via the internal help desk covering four sites including three remote Technical Facilities, relating to trouble shooting of:
Microsoft Office applications support;
Telecommunications including Cisco, Mobile Devices etc;
Hardware (Desktop, Laptops, Printer, Server, PC builds and upgrades etc)
Network administration (passwords, user set-ups, network shares etc)
In-house Software systems support (Snowdrop, Sage, PANOS, Kerridge, Fleetware etc)
Supporting Windows XP Operating System
Connectivity issues with remote users (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS);
Liaising with Third party Support Companies
Carrying out routine housekeeping duties:
Spam Email
Network administration (passwords, user set-ups, network shares etc)
User setups
Undertake and monitor the ‘back-up’ process
Asset tracking
Update and monitoring software licensing
Monitoring Server disk space
Active Directory
Telecommunications including Cisco, Mobile Devices etc
To assist with software development such as web functionality;
Identifying service improvements using effective troubleshooting skills;
To assist in the IT infrastructure new upgrades on Desktop, servers and other sub systems;
To assist with the production and maintenance of detailed system/user documentation;
Where required, to deliver IT training to the business for new users, software upgrades etc;
To proactively assist in the management of contracts, ensuring that: contracted services are delivered to the highest standard. KPIs and SLA performance is monitored and measured to attain contractual targets and maximised where appropriate;
Perform ‘on call’ support for out of office hours on a rota basis.
